I developed and reinvigorated relationships with end-users, engineering firms, and channel partners to drive revenue growth. As employee number 2, we were able to grow the business to become Capstone’s number one revenue distributor in just 3 years.

During this time Capstone experienced record revenue from US distribution especially in the energy efficiency and oil and gas verticals.

I drove regional sales goal targets by establishing and maintaining relationships with distributors for Capstone’s western US region. I supported and scored distributor performance and provided development support and assistance in closing sales. This was shortly after the introduction of a new, larger product line that substantially increased market opportunity.

General Vortex Energy Inc. (GVE) develops low emission combustion systems. I managed resources to complete R&D as required by GVE’s $1.4mm grant from the Office of Naval Research and researched market positioning in the $500M turbine combustion systems market.

I directed product development and managed the release of Capstone’s new larger 200 KW to 1,000 kW product line. This product line substantially increased market potential and a key responsibility was working with distribution partners to appropriately position this offering in their markets.

I expanded Dresser’s controls business unit presence in the western US region by enabling cross business unit selling through internal sales team training and support, developed customer leads and uncovered opportunities using data mining tools to expand product offerings to new and existing customers.

I provided customer facing engineering support with extensive international travel to guide sales team solution selection based on customer needs, defined custom control requirements for gas turbine applications , attended customer project design reviews as a representative of design engineering.

I developed and maintained standardized control system composite (software, electrical schematics, and associated project tools), determined support levels for new standard features based on cost/benefit analysis, and partnered across departments to correct and improve standard control system design.

I specified instrumentation and control systems for safe, efficient, and reliable operation of gas compression and power generation systems, ensuring designs met customer requirements and industry codes.
