I am responsible for the Field Operations management structure that governs a global network of more than 2500 scouts and correspondents. We provide market-leading betting-specific data across several sports, including Football (Soccer), Basketball and more recently WTA Tennis under StatsPerform’s RunningBall product banner.My remit is to ensure top-quality live data collection throughout our operational workflow, governed by our recruitment, training, live delivery and quality measurement processes – while adopting best-practice people management to my teams.

My role has been ever-changing throughout my time here but was predominantly to manage and expand the ‘Leeds Hub’. This initially included offices in Uruguay, Munich and London. During this period I have also taken responsibility for India (Mangalore), Armenia (Yerevan), and more recently our Portuguese sports data operations in Aveiro. My teams provide Performance Data and Betting Data for a diverse range of customers such as betting operators, clubs, broadcasters, media and official rights holders worldwide. This includes market-leading Opta and RunningBall-branded content and services.

As a senior manager with responsibility for the three main areas of our Sports Data business (Data Page Production, Sport Collection and Racing), my remit is broad and seldom boring. As my main focus I manage a large team and its budget while ensuring our live operations are efficient, accurate and subject to continuous process improvement.I am required to be across all areas of the Press Association and work alongside stakeholders, internal and external.

Sport Direct comprises the Football 24 and Digital content arms of Press Association Sport. Digital Sport produces and maintains a range of managed top 10 and tailored sports news feeds and SMS services for a multitude of clients including ITV.com, AOL and Virgin Media. F24 offers a comprehensive club-by-club football news service covering the Barclays Premier League, Football League and Scottish Premier League teams as well as bespoke live match coverage for national newspapers and media outlets around the world - via a managed network of reporters and freelancers. Our client base includes the likes of Yahoo Eurosport, Showtime Arabia and MSN.com, as well as domestic customers such as BBC Online and the News of the World to name a few.I also manage Press Association Sport's graduate traineeship programme, including recruitment, as well as co-ordinating editorial work placements.My role is diverse, linking editorial production with IT, Service Delivery, Commercial and Sales to provide first-class products and guaranteed results.

As a member of the Commercial Team I was involved in the project management of new and existing products from the idea stage through to sign off - primarily in the web, mobile and data sectors.More importantly, my time there allowed me to absorb the other side of the business after starting my career in an editorial setting.

The role retained responsibilities as European Football Editor but included a wider brief, covering the broad spectrum of sporting events from around the world and managing PA's International department.

My role was to manage and maintain a network of correspondents sourcing news and information from Europe's football federations. This was used to serve European football's governing body UEFA as well as the Press Association's international wire and editorial services.

During my first three years at the Press Association following graduation I was involved as a sub-editor for Teletext, a sports reporter for both wire and non-wire arms, and sports editor for both Channel One and BBC World News' Intelfax service.
