Prior to this, he was management information manager for Global Banking & Markets at HSBC Brasil. Before re-joining HSBC, Marc was Risk Manager at LeasePlan Brasil where his responsibilities included the analysis and mitigation of asset risk, credit risk and operational risk. Additionally, Marc has built up significant expertise in market risk when working as a Senior Risk Analyst at HSBC Asset Management. Marc also worked on a consulting project for the World Bank. Prior to this, he was the foreign-shareholder representative at a Brazilian firm, where he was responsible for advising the shareholders on their investment strategy and market opportunities in Latin America. Before moving to Brazil in 2002, Marc worked for Ernst & Young Corporate Finance in M&A and valuation. Marc brought with him previous experience in IPO’s and private equity deals from the Dexia Bank.Marc speaks seven languages and has extensive international experience. He holds a Commercial Engineering degree from the Solvay Business School in Brussels and is a laureate of the Prince Albert Fund.Marc loves spending time with his wife and two children.
