About Marc Schönenberger

I have a Master degree in Microengineering, with a focus on Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Every robots and embedded systems are of interest to me even though I have a strong interest for aerospace and space applications. My education covered various aspect of engineering that can be transposed to different fields of applications (material science, mechanical conception, electronics, etc...).I am autonomous, thorough, have a hardworking state of mind and I thrive in team environments, have proven leadership capabilites and a highly open mind. I fluently speak French and English.I am always looking for opportunities, ideally in the above mentioned fields preferably, in Switzerland but I can also see myself in any European country or in North America.

    As a part of the innovation group, I worked on the ROCK-3 family of CES products based on the VITA 74 (VNX) small form factor standard for electronics embedded system with applications in Aerospace / Space.I had the following contributions:- Integration of a Single Board Computer from General Electric based on an NVidia Tegra K1 System on Chip-Integration of a Single Board Computer from Arbor Solutions based on an Intel ATOM System on Chip- Evaluation of performances of several processors and systems architectures based on Tegra K1, Intel ATOM and AMD G-Series SoC and comparisons with other processors and GPU (PowerPC QorIQ T2080, Intel core-i7)- Set up automated tests and loggings of data with bash scripts in Linux alongside full documentations and manuals- Selection and implementation (C/C++) of several programms showcasing the Tegra K1 and its GPGPU capabilities (CUDA, OpenCV).

    Worked on Rotating Machinery failure analysis tools development, using a special mechanical test bench, advanced signal processing and establishment of data acquirement protocol and signal signatures database. The test bench allowed to record vibration signature specific to ball bearings damage and / or shaft defect which are typical in helicopters and aircraft engines health monitoring.These signals were then processed with a program developped in Matlab in order to characterize the defect. The signal could then be processed and segment of it could be stored in a database.
