CurrentLed efforts to change the Charities' leadership structure. Transferred production of the Bud Billiken® Parade TV broadcast to the Charities and ABC7. Negotiated and executed three-year contracts for the TV broadcast. Created and directed the first Charities' CFO position. Converted generation of the audit to a new auditor. Coordinated staff to produce the 2016 audit.Established agreement with Columbia College to (1) increase traffic to, and awareness of, Charities' social media outlets, and (2) provide a training session on media interviews. Improved preparation of budgets and other documents for Charities' Board meetings. Completed the Bud Billiken® Parade lineup earlier allowing a 100% increase in review time. Produced the Charities' 2017 scholarship awards and fundraiser gala at the newly renovated, former Chicago Defender building. Generated over $8K in revenue from sponsor packages and tickets. Promoted youth on ABC7, NBC5 and Charities' online media including, (1) live streaming the 2015 event of the team Bringing Out Talent, (2) Jim Rose, Sports Anchor, ABC7 Chicago, serving as emcee for the 2016 Dance Force awards program, and (3) appearance of the Golden Knights Drill Team on Windy City Live. Served as an interviewee on TV/radio programs. Led establishment of a new Charities' website. Arranged and coordinated support of Charities' online media from Smart Chicago Collaborative. Upgraded the website to include advertising, parade promotion with WLS-TV and corrections to web host problems. Planned and executed the Bud Billiken® Parade. Increased parade registration, and improved administrative procedures and agreements with agencies. Published and monitored a list of parade projects and assigned staff. Arranged participation, logistics and accommodations for HBCU Presidents and other guests. Developed contingency plans for the possible participation of President Obama in the parade. Negotiated and executed contracts.
