As an attorney with Straussner, Sherman, Lonné, Treger, & Helquist, I represent applicants, with a focus on firefighters and law enforcement personnel, in workers' compensation and disability retirement matters. I have experience defending depositions, deposing medical-legal evaluators, and in all parts of the litigation process including discovery, trials, and appeals. I graduated with Distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law with concentrations in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. I was involved in leadership with the Nebraska Law Review and the Moot Court Board. Other experiences included work with the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Nebraska Attorney General's Office, and through oral advocacy competitions where I appeared before state supreme court and federal district court judges.
