Marc is the director and founder of Outside In, the award winning charity that seeks to create a fairer art world and to celebrate the diversity of creators in our communities.Marc worked at Pallant House Gallery for seventeen years employed as the Executive Director from 2013-16. He trained initially as a fine artist at the Slade School of Fine Art and has over 30 years experience of working with community groups in a variety of roles including; as an arts coordinator and trustee for the Grace Eyre Foundation, as a community support worker for Brighton and Hove Social and Caring Services and as a freelance arts facilitator.He has set up and managed several significant projects that seek to challenge cultural and social barriers to engagement in the art world. He sees his work as enabling people’s creativity and challenging stigma and prejudice. Key projects include Outside In and Partners in Art. He has written numerous articles and presented nationally and internationally on inclusion and the arts.
