I held a series of key roles in growing MarketTools from a $2 million startup to achieving approximately $90 million in annual revenues in 2008.I was promoted to the role of VP of the SaaS sales team in January ’05. Prior to that, I held the position of Senior Account Manager selling SaaS applications and was a consistent producer. In the role of VP of the SaaS sales team, I built and led a 10 person sales team across 5 regions with responsibility for $12+ million annual quota. I had responsibility for the growth and management of the sales team as well as increasing sales of MarketTools’ SaaS products to current customers and new prospects. I addition, I was tasked with the development and growth in sales of ancillary services to our customer base. The team also supported the "Global" Full Service Sales teams. In building the team, the group increased in size from 1 person (just me) to 10 sales representatives reporting to me. In regards to revenue, the team increased revenues from $1.5M in ’05 to $12.0M in ’08. The team was on track to achieve the $8.0M revenue target for ’09. The team achieved 100% quota attainment in Q’1 and Q’2 in ’09. In addition to my management responsibilities in ’09, I also held an individual contributor role and achieved 120% of quota during that time.
