For the last 10 years, I've held executive leadership roles, with Board and Divisional Executive Committee Membership and Chairman appointments.I've achieved significant business change, helping to deliver corporate goals ranging from exponential growth through to one of the largest transformation programmes ever seen in banking. I'm a decisive, demanding leader who has created and developed talented teams to implement exceptional results in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. I held senior positions at RBS , most recently leading the division tasked with transformation of what was a global organisation with a presence in 50 countries; 200,000 employees and interests in multiple assets, products and services, into a simpler, cost-efficient, financially strong and UK/Ireland focused bank, with fewer than 70,000 employees.My approach is intellectually robust; I'm a qualified accountant, highly experienced banker and operational manager who has successfully held full P&L responsibility for multi £bn funded asset businesses. I have extensive knowledge of risk management and governance, having headed up RBS Group Operational Risk, been a member of the Group Risk Committee and Chair of the risk committee for the capital resolution division.
