My passion for content creation inspired me to launch a social media account (@Marcussi) five years ago. Over time, I’ve grown my personal media brand to over 25,000 followers across various platforms, where I produce engaging content (on Tiktok, Instagram and Twitter) focused on the Boston Bruins and their latest developments. My experience of social media focused in the hockey industry heightened my ability to consistently craft compelling, attention-grabbing sports content and with that has built a foundation for my career. It’s led me to opportunities such as brand deals with Dunkin’, sponsorships with Gametime, and an internship with Everything College Hockey (ECH), which is the leading independent news source of college hockey. With ECH, my strength in producing attention-grabbing content for their social media has contributed to their growth as a brand and expanded the exposure of the college hockey game as a whole. This experience accelerated my attention to detail in my work and gave me a improved ability to organize and reprioritize content based on the ever-changing developments within the sport.Additionally, I have valuable experience through my extracurricular involvement at Merrimack College, where I cover the Division 1 Men’s Ice Hockey Team. My coverage of the team for the Student Newspaper provides fans with an organized, informative platform to stay updated on the program. This experience also developed my writing skills, attention to detail in my photography of the game and a better understanding of the NCAA pathway to the NHL. I am extremely grateful of the work I’ve accomplished in these past few years and excited to see what the future holds within this career path!
