From a young age, my passion for creativity and design was undeniable:• I’d throw a fit if my parents forgot the crayons.• I built entire worlds from DUPLO blocks and Legos.• I transformed cereal boxes that I painted beige into Taco Bell restaurants.• I designed themed restaurants, like Rain Forest Café, complete with menus.• Constructed multi-story treehouses and forts.• Spent hours immersed in SimCity.• Loved every art class.• Took every drafting class available. So, it was no surprise when I became an architect. What did surprise me, however, was discovering that the “always stay curious” mindset, which I thought was inherent in architecture, often gets sidelined. A piece of feedback I once received stuck with me: “The problem is that you will never be content.” Eventually, I embraced this feedback, pivoting to the most creative path yet—entrepreneurship. This was the role I’d been searching for: one that celebrates being “content with not being content” and “comfortable with being uncomfortable.” Through this journey, I’ve explored innovative, problem-solving opportunities within:• Architecture and Design Practice• Design Technology• Design EducationI credit each success to the incredible managers, mentors, teams, and projects that have shaped my career. If you're someone who isn’t content with the status quo and is eager to explore new ways of problem-solving, let’s connect!
