Marcus’s experience includes a successful U.S. Coast Guard career as a shipboard Engineer on vessels up to 378’ (115m); and shore side he has maintained, repaired, operated, managed, or lived on boats up to 292’ (89m). This experience includes Instructor positions at the USCG Engineering Technical School and Small Boat Operations School. Marcus holds his USCG 100 Ton Master MMC as well.In addition, Marcus’ experience includes leadership roles responsible in facilities maintenance, grounds and special projects for residential and commercial properties such as docks, offices, warehouses, apartment & resort living communities, marine terminals, and waterfront properties. Marcus has renovated multiple homes; and was a Leader with Habitat for Humanity leading other volunteers in various segments of home construction and renovation.Marcus has held senior business management roles leading up to 375 personnel with responsibility for operations, contract administration, customer service, P&L, business development & marketing, business strategies implementation, process improvements, policies/procedures, and employee training programs.Project Management roles have included responsibility for marine ship and yacht shipyard, and dockside, repairs, refits, inspections, equipment installs, and new builds; AND commercial, industrial and residential property projects such as renovations, repairs, upgrades and new construction work or equipment installation.Health, Safety, Security, Quality Environmental (HSSQE) program responsibilities have included the development, implementation, and management of programs; and the compliance with OSHA, USCG/MTSA, U.S. Custom’s, EPA, NFPA, DOT, IMO/SOLAS and ISPS code standards. Extensive experience as a Company and Facility Security Officer (CSO/FSO).
