Responsibility for the proper execution of the Bank’s Internal Audit Function and for compliance with regulatory requirements according to section 25a (1) KWG in conjunction with AT 4.4.3 and BT 2 of German Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk). Responsibility for the planning and execution of audits and implementation in an independent, autonomous and unbiased manner;3. Establishing and maintaining a risk-based Audit Plan;4. Preparation of audits regarding time requirements, focus areas, targets of the audit and the scope of the audit which is based on the relevance of the risks involved;5. Evaluation and classification of the audit results by certain criteria, in particular any shortcomings identified in the context of the audit;6. Responsibility to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken for reported control deficiencies and monitors the implementation of corrective measures;7. Ensuring that special audits which may become necessary in the short term can be carried out at any time;8. Monitoring the adequacy, safety and efficiency of purchased audit services and ensuring at all time that the proper business organisation pursuant to Section 25a (1) KWG is not impaired;9. Serve as contact person in all matters related to Internal Audit for the Bank’s management and employees as well as external bodies, such as supervisory authorities (in particular: BaFin and Deutsche Bundesbank) and prosecuting authorities.
