Information Technology Application Analyst
CurrentThe Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of new applications, upgrades, and modifications to existing systems. The Application Analyst is also responsible for the application configuration, go-live support, and on-going client support. The Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. Employee will be required to travel to support offsite locations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following: 1. Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings. 2. Provide go-live and rollout support. Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality. 3. Provide application troubleshooting support for the application(s). Resolve the issue, forward it to the correct group for remediation, or elevate it to the vendor if required. 4. Assist with determining how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users. a. Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements. b. Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system. c. Create system specifications from user requirements. 5. Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modification. Document all outcomes of testing. 6. Design database queries and create reports utilizing a report-writing tool. 7. Monitor application issues and evaluate issues as they arise. 8. Write and maintain accurate and current documentation regarding application(s) supported by the team. Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users. 9. Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support on a 24x7 rotating basis. Work with the help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them. Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues as required.
