I am the Principal golf architect for Black Burn Golf Course Design Ltd. and have 20 years’ experience as a golf course architect and design consultant. During my time in the golf design profession, I have worked on over 80 different projects in more than 25 countries throughout Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, North America and South America.Black Burn Golf Course Design Ltd. specialise in the renovation of existing golf courses, new build golf course design, driving ranges and golf academies, Par 3 courses, golf course related Master Planning, feasibility studies and golf course safety audits.

To expand on my knowledge of course maintenance practices, I worked as a full time Greenkeeper on the West Course. This provided my with valuable experience in the course set up and preparation for the European tour's flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship.

Ottershaw, Surrey

In order to keep in touch with the golf design and construction industry and to expand on my existing knowledge of golf course construction and maintenance, I secured a position as an assistant Greenkeeper, maintaining one of Europe’s most exclusive golf clubs. By working with and listening to experienced Greenkeepers on one of Europe’s most manicured courses, I acquired a better understanding of how golf course architects can improve their designs of course features in order to make the maintenance of a golf course much easier whilst still providing aesthetically pleasing and challenging course features.Whilst working at Queenwood, I was asked to provide my professional opinion on various design issues, specifically course drainage improvements and also provided detailed design work for new practice facilities.

Lead Golf Course Architect.Responsible for the design of the Cornelia Golf club, Belek, Turkey, designer of the First Faldo Design Academy at Lough Erne Resort, Northern Ireland, designer of the Fortress Course at the Louisbourg Resort Golf and Spa in Nova Scotia and the Faldo Course at the Estrela Santiago Resort in Cape Verde.
