Telling stories is my passion. I have been doing so for well over a decade, currently as a communications professional having previously been a senior journalist at a leading regional daily newspaper.I work for IOSH, the global chartered body for health and safety professionals. I lead a team of Content Officers. We write news stories, securing coverage in international, national, regional and sectoral media. We create content for social media channels. We write speeches for senior leaders. We create marketing content for IOSH's health and safety training products. And much more. All in the name of promoting the work IOSH and its membership of 48,000-plus professionals do to ensure working people return home safe and healthy everyday.I always get a buzz from securing media coverage, calling on my experience of being a daily news journalist at the Nottingham Post. As Education Correspondent, I led a team which provided excellent coverage of schools, colleges and universities, and managed editorial coverage for a campaign to create hundreds of apprenticeship roles.I also worked on the newsdesk, creating daily news lists and leading editorial conferences as well as managing the team of reporters, and have experience of reporting on professional football and cricket matches.
