Project managed the work, learning new hands-on skills and helping with many aspects of the £100K development.Last year spent three months in Africa, dealing with a beach fronted property and taking the opportunity to build new business relationships whilst catching up with family and friends.As a result of all of the above, have most recently been involved in the renovation of a stud in Newmarket, employed to help replace three roofs and renovate a number of victorian horse-boxes. In March 2009 began work on a voluntary basis as a Teaching Assistant and Class Helper Bungay Primary School, Suffolk. Providing support to teachers and staff where and when required in any of four classrooms: the Nursery and Foundation units as well as Class 2 and Class 4. Providing support to teachers and staff where and when required in any of four classrooms: the Nursery and Foundation units as well as Class 2 and Class 4. When called upon has provided SEN support either in a group or 1:1 basis assisting colleagues.In February 2010 joined Bacton Middle School, Suffolk employed as a part time Teaching Assistant at this established Middle School. Providing teacher support through all age and class levels: from year five to year eight.SEN cover also provided when called upon and given additional responsibility of supporting teachers and classes on various external activities.In September 2010 joined Diss High School, Norfolk, as a Cover Supervisor and progressed to Senior Cover Supervisor and given additional responsibilities as an Exam Invigilator. These roles substantially increased on the skill set gained from the previous two schools. Providing cover to almost the entire High School year range - from eleven year olds to the wise sixteen year olds. Helping the school cover teachers either on courses or on leave or absent as a result of illness and class cover supervision of the whole curriculum was expected in the role.Exam Invigilation followed in April 2011.Both roles were hugely satisfying as not only did they provide a hands on teaching experience and all the skill sets that came with it, but it was then a pleasure to watch many of those teenagers, previously supported by the cover supervisory role, tackle their GCSEs in the quiet of the exam halls.
