As an account executive at Indian River Networks I went into different business establishments and identified their (IT) Information Technology problems and what they were lacking that could make their business more efficient. Our company was a Management Service Provider. We provided Backup Disaster Relief for all of the companies Internal Network. We also had a 24/7 help desk for any of the businesses IT problems. My job was to land contracts with these businesses that needed IT services. This job taught me a lot about consulting with clients and identifying their pain points withing their walls. As an account executive I landed more than 40 appointments with Office Managers and CEO's. I also closed on more than 7 businesses under contract with us as their MSP. Unfortunately the economy caused a downsize in the company and my salary was cut to only commission. This job was probably the best job I had and learned from as far as a Sales and Consulting side. This was my 1st sales job and taught me the basic fundamentals for the art of selling. My job was to get business and promote the company's brand. I would sell vouchers to families to come in for a photo shoot and get a 8 x 10 framed image. After the photo shoot they would come back for a viewing and I would up sale them a larger finished product that was more expensive. After working their for a year or so I developed a strong sense of sales knowledge which landed me a better job selling IT services at Indian River Networks.
