Marcus served his mechanical apprenticeship in the pump and motor industry, working in many high profile sites. From there, he moved into the role of a Building Shift Technician with PME/ Carillion then TUPE over to Skanska keeping his time of service. Marcus gained experience in data centres and the banking environment with the following aspects of maintenance:Critical plant, UPS, Generators, Chillers, BMS systems, PPM’s to AHU’s, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Valves, VAV’s, FCU’s, Compressors & Pressurisation units.Marcus then progressed his career into management following the path of Site Supervisor/Engineering Manager within the commercial/ facilities contracts along with managerial experience in the public health sector (Hospitals). Having spent over 2 years as the facilities manager at St James Park, Marcus returned to the commercial industry by joining Jaguar Building Services in December 2018 as a mobilisation engineer which soon developed into the mobilisation manager. Responsibilities include • Manage the service transition to a new or remobilisation of an existing contract, including assistance to the site-based services and teams during the mobilisation period.• Ensure all statutory requirements are met and that there are no exposures to H&S issues.• Assist & ensure H&S procedures, both clients and JBS requirements are met within the frameworkof the mobilisation programme.• Involve & ensure all employees are aware of the statutory logbooks & comply with company H&S policies & procedures.• Produce a technically detailed conditional survey for reporting to client within time as applicable.• Verify assets & provide remedial recommendations if required.Marcus has recently joined the Health & Safety department bringing technical knowledge and experience to the team while providing training courses and advising the mobilisation department.
