I have 19 years of experience working with data in workforce capacity planning and reporting roles. I enjoy doing the type of work required to derive meaning from data, and I believe my work experience gives me the right mix of transferrable skills to succeed as either a workforce planner or data/reporting analyst.Designed, developed, and implemented planning and forecasting solutions for diverse business functions at various levels of data maturity, including those with missing or incomplete data. The complexity of this work included the support of 100+ GL departments, each with their own financial targets, FTE metrics, supported membership, onshore/offshore work mix, attrition rates, and new hire training ramp times. With 2,000+ employees, the resulting FTE forecast for Broker & Employer Operations was highly visible, impacting the annual open enrollment period as well as health plan readiness on January 1 of each year.Communicated with leaders from all levels of the Operations organization, from department managers to Vice Presidents. Coordinated forecast adjustments between cross-functional teams made up of upstream and downstream operations leads, finance liaisons, external teams, workforce planners, and reporting analysts. Performed data extraction, analysis, and reporting functions daily for 19 years as both a Report Analyst and Workforce Capacity Planner. I acquired data from multiple sources (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, PDF files, text files, email, SharePoint, and various databases) and combined it ensuring that volumes, timing, utilization, and membership were analogous. I created processes to check the data for errors and outliers and applied transformations to filter and group the data in accordance with business needs.Prepared the Executive Forecast Summary report at the end of each FTE forecast cycle. Coordinated with workforce representatives for all back office functional areas to collect forecast and metric data. Summarized the data for the current and 5 prior forecasts, created charts and graphs to show trends, and analyzed the results to identify potential data errors. Anticipated areas of concern and coordinated with workforce representatives to gather explanations and commentary. Prepared notes for review with multiple levels of Senior Management.I have 22 years' experience with Excel including the use of Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, and VLOOKUPs as well as linking to external databases and files. I’ve used VBA to create macros in Excel and have experience using SQL to join data and create queries in Access.
