Mechanical Design Engineer;As a design engineer I love solving difficult problems, particularly whilst using innovative solutions. I am very hardworking and enthusiastic to learn at any opportunity. With a number of years experience working on technical engineering problems and a couple of years experience working as a design consultant, I believe that I have a good balance of technical knowledge and communications/leadership skills. It is my ambition to make as large an impact as I can to help improve the technology sector in the UK.- Qualified with a Distinction level Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Design from The University of Manchester.- Experience leading and working within teams to develop and mass-manufacture complex electro-mechanical products from concept through to product release.- Proficient in the use of several 3D CAD modelling packages; Siemens NX11, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D. Along with other software packages such as; Abaqus, Matlab, Moldflow, Microsoft Office, Siemens Teamcenter.- Experience with project planning and concept development of large multi-million pound projects.
