I most enjoy building rich applications using modern web technologies (TypeScript, React). I've led teams at startups, Mozilla, and Adobe. In the past, I've built desktop software, iOS apps, and web services, but I have 15 years of experience shipping web-platform software.I founded GamingPeak, a multiplayer card and board game website that served hundred of thousands of users from 2006–2011. Real-time tournaments, instant messaging, modern moderation tools, and cutting-edge client software made it a popular hangout when the MSN Gaming Zone closed in 2006.I was one of the first full-time employees at Game Closure, a mobile gaming startup featuring a custom JavaScript rendering engine, where I led a team of engineers building backend software. At Mozilla, I worked on the Firefox OS Productivity App Team, where I was responsible for its Clock app, build its email client's POP3 implementation, and made the system notification panel run smoothly at 60fps.At Adobe, I build rich desktop and web components in TypeScript and React.I value user experience, design, and engineering as parts of a larger whole. I try to approach problems and decisions with a pragmatic, well-rounded stance. As an engineer, while I most enjoy working with web technologies, my experience with other types of software provides broader understanding when needed.
