CurrentDuties and responsibilities include: Performed duties of on call Line Manager in charge of off hour issues that may arise throughout Kennedy Space Center’s Communication infrastructure. Performed Configurations Management duties for the Communication Contract at Kennedy Space Center. Management the 5-S Team during the property verification, validation, and consolidation during the IMCS Communication Contract. Problem-solve and collaborate with technicians, engineers and other communication systems personnel to develop working procedures and practices to prevent employees from getting injured or sick and to keep property from being damaged while accomplishing work assignments. Facilitate an environment that is centered on safe work practices and identify initiatives to optimize safe approaches to work, reduce risks, and raise safety awareness. Coordinate the employee safety and environmental program by identifying short and long term safety planning. As necessary order all personal protective equipment and maintain safety equipment inventory. Work with field engineers and technicians in writing work instructions that incorporate safety work practices and identify the correct protective work equipment to be used. Ensure that proper safety equipment is issued to employees and conduct safety training programs. Conduct onsite inspections of premises or equipment, investigate accidents or injuries, and report findings to management and other applicable organizations in a timely manner. Evaluate safety performance of employees and subcontractors and report and document violations. Responsible for ensuring that employees meet all DOT regulations. Ensure current procedures and tests are performed in accordance with OSHA and customer regulations and standards.
