 Oversee daily merchandising operation. Organize training for merchandisers to ensure current practices and standards are met. Liaise and co-ordinate with retail trade on in store and other promotional activities. Ensure optimum visibility and presentation of product range in retail outlets. Manage inventory and distribution of POP material and display equipment. Develop graphics and signage for displays in stores.

Manage the day to day operations of the Key Account, Merchandising and Van Sales staff. Develop and manage the annual sales budgets and targets by Sales Representative and/or by account. Develop and execute the sales plan to achieve annual sales targets. Provide periodic sales updates to Marketing & Sales Director, and participate in periodic reviews of sales plans and targets. Develop and implement strategies for sales growth for new and existing products with new and existing customers. Ensure management of collections with Sales and Van teams. Keep abreast of market trends, and gather and disseminate competitive intelligence. Provide coaching to the Sales and Merchandising teams in selling and merchandising techniques which support core sales activities. Ensure implementation of promotional plan to Van Sales team. Work with Merchandising Coordinator to ensure Principals’ brands are well merchandised, as well as assist in development or procurement of product displays for the purpose of enhancing sales. Conduct routine trade visits to ensure that customers’ needs are being met, and that any issues/queries are addressed in a timely manner. Ensure close partnerships with Principals with the aim of becoming the preferred distributor.

To ensure high product visibility in all channels that were being serviced. Seeking opportunities for better product placement, as well as coordinating any in-store promotional activities between company and retail outlets.

Scheduling and monitoring the daily routes for the merchandising team, ensuring that they followed proper company procedures. Laising with customers to ensure that they were satisfied with our level of service.
