As R&D Manager, my primary responsibility is to help manage the R&D team and maintain business accounts while building high-level client relationships. I am responsible for identifying resources needed and to assign individual/team responsibilities,effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards, assign staff to projects and monitor project priorities (e.g. meeting filing requirement deadlines), lead regular WIP / tax technical meetings, attend initial Phase 1 R&D calls and monitor Senior Associate progress on Phase 1’s, prepare and review R&D engagement letters for supervisor approval, work closely with Director on operations and project management and serve as the primary Point-Person on all Phase I and Phase II R&D projects. I also lead Phase II studies from the initial meetings up to the point of final delivery, overseeing every step of the study from work plan implementation, site visits, credit calculations, narrative/project meetings and drafting/review of the completed substantiation package. I am also responsible for serving as the go-between for Operations and the Software Development team, taking the lead on training, reporting and testing of all bugs, dev releases, and improvements to our internal software system. Through weekly meetings with our CTO, I help spearhead new ideas and concepts to ensure the R&D team is able to utilize our software system for a standardized repeatable Study process and substantiation.
