Throughout my degree I worked within the hospitality industry and grew my communication and customer service skills. With the move to more permanent work after my graduation, into a job revolving around assisting those wishing to extend their visas, these skills have developed and grown with difficult circumstances and language barriers being commonplace. I have always strived to provide a professional and welcoming face in my roles, regardless of the tensions that may build throughout the day.As testimony to my leadership and cooperative skills within a team, I led my university water polo team in the highest level of university sport in the UK, have been trusted with managing and training new hires and managed customers and colleagues alike- in order to allow the smooth continuation of service no matter the challenges set out before us during times both busy and those less so.I am a quick learner and more than ready to get a grasp for new situations. Having little experience with the intricacies of software development, I was able to involve myself within the team during my time assisting a manufacturing company with internal system redesigns, and was able to complete tasks on time and with consistent quality as a server tester. Finally, I have great commitment to whatever is set before me. Overcoming many struggles to see my full-time degree to an end, maintaining jobs through out and completing a high quality dissertation- including all of the research and stress which comes with writing one. To add to this, I had maintained commitment to my university sports team and local club. Keeping a solid level of attendance and keeping a quality of performance throughout the whole time; despite the difficulties of covid, my commitment to my degree, teams and myself never broke.
