Thermotech Enterprises, Inc. is the industry leader in the manufacturing and installation of energy recovery wheels, heat wheels, enthalpy wheels, sensible wheels and energy recovery wheel replacement systems.Production Engineering:- Managed and performed day to day engineering tasks to support Production- Designed jigs and machines to improve Production capacity and quality- Generated standardized work orders and drawings library to improve quality, reduce human error and reduce the burden of supportEnterprise and Sales Support:- Developed configurator for generating quotes. Generated accurate costing information for over 1 million product options.- Developed a communication tool to provide Sales with the most up-to-date design details pertinent to their submittal process- Implemented continuous improvement including a company-wide improvement scheme and improving the project data storage- Established processes to track customer interactions post production to improve the quality of our customer serviceDesign Engineering:- Introduced 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor), replacing a hand drawing system, and created a document numbering system appropriate to the new technology- Designed new products, including generating a patent application (application # US 2010/0200068 A1)- Developed the controls system design to iron out faults and reduce burden on warranty (estimate 50% calls down to <5% calls)- Designed enthalpy control system for energy recovery wheels to minimize whole system cost
