About Marcus Davidsson
I received my Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from Lund University in 2011. During my PhD studies in Molecular Neuromodulation I worked on developing novel methods for DNA barcoding, and how to apply this technique to study biological functions in the brain. My main research interests focus on developing novel AAV capsids and their applications. On 23rd of March 2018 I defended my thesis titled “Viral Vector Barcoding - a BRAVE tool for next generation gene therapy”.Following my PhD, I have worked as a Post doctoral fellow at Michigan State University and Barrow Neurological Institute. Here I continued my work on AAV vectors and their applications in both clinical and preclinical settings.
