A company I started following the closure of the previous company I worked for. This covered the servicing and repair of laser machines for the medical industry. I worked on and redesigned some of the failing products to create a reliable product in a niche market in clinics around the U.K.

Running all servicing and workshop repairs on the laser equipment. I also covered install and on-site servicing and repairs. This was a demanding role to start with as the previous engineers had set up their own company and disappeared over night with all technical documentation, leaving me to work on a totally new product to me with no previous experience in laser technology. I started in this role after being asked if I wanted to work on a new casino product. I was responsible for assembling the first proto-type machines and carrying out changes to circuit boards and wiring harnesses. I spent some time with a company in Montana, setting up production of the machine for the American market.

Here I worked alone in a busy workshop, carrying out all repairs and servicing of faulty parts returned by their customers. Alongside this, I covered customer service, liaising with distributors for our products.
