Marcus DentBefore his current position at PPM Progressive Pipeline Management, Mr. Dent was employed for 39 years in the areas of industrial and environmental services. His work ethic and industriousness were responsible for his rise from a position as an entry-level technician to that of upper management responsible for overseeing significant contracts, offices and crews across the Mid-Atlantic region. While in the industrial/environmental service field his customer base included all regional utilities, Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, the U.S. Coast Guard, Grace Chemicals, Millennium Chemical (now part of the Cristal Global Group), FMC, Domino Sugar, Baltimore Gas & Electric and the National Aquarium at Baltimore. From oil to nitroglycerin to contaminated hazardous waste, Mr. Dent has encountered all types of materials in the service of projects he has worked on. Mr. Dent lives in Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife Kate and their two boys. When not spending time enjoying his family or riding his motorcycle, Mr. Dent devotes much of his free time to volunteering in the Baltimore/Washington and Richmond metro areas as Baltimore Regional Director of the Guardian Angels, a 501(c) (3) organization that patrols neighborhoods; provides victim advocacy and support services; and provides at- risk children with school supplies, mentoring, and martial arts/defensive tactics training through the Junior Angels program. Mr. Dent has been cited as “Chapter Commander of the Year”, and his chapter was named “Chapter of the Year.” He and his chapter have also received awards from (4) Mayors of Baltimore City, the Richmond City Council, numerous community organizations, police districts, and schools. Marcus combined his capacities as GA Commander and Emergency Response to work with the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office on an initiative to provide empowerment for at-risk youth living in local communities
