Prior to joining my current firm, I worked at an intellectual property firm in Grand Rapids and as a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where my duties included examining patent applications in the sealing and display arts. I earned a J.D. degree with a concentration in intellectual property from Boston University School of Law and a B.S. degree, with Honors, in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. I am registered to practice before both the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Canadian Patent Office. In addition, I am admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and am a member of the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.Specialties: I concentrate my practice on patent prosecution, procurement, licensing and enforcement of patents for mechanical inventions and registration and enforcement of trademarks.
