- Led the development and implementation of the operating models for the CCHR.
- Led all aspects of the QCMRI 2010-2014 strategic planning process.
- Contained operating budget expenditure during expansion phase of Institute, with operating costs increasing by less than 10% per year whilst the Institute grew from 50 members to over 200, and research income increased.
- Developed communication plan which resulted in broad media coverage for QCMRI and a growing reputation for the Institute.

- Working for the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Commercialisation), I was responsible for providing leadership and advice on operational matters relating to QUT’s major research initiatives. Key achievements:-
- Developed strategic, workforce and risk management plans and implemented strategies enunciated in plans for Division and Institutes.
- Contributed to the development of QUT’s research capacity building agenda, including creating the financial and policy models which under-pinned the highly-successful Professorial Fellowship scheme and Early Career.
