Function as advanced, final level quality inspector. Review technical data relevant to measurements, visual inspections, electrical and mechanical tests, and tolerance requirements on various systems. Physically inspect each piece of equipment used on assigned aircraft.REVIEW AND ENSURE FLOW-DOWN OF QUALITY REQUIREMENTS TO THE CONTRACTOR’S INSPECTION SYSTEM AND/OR QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. Train other inspectors in both maintenance and armament systems. Ensure that trainees adhere to all applicable requirements for particular inspections including those performed on Air Force contractor performance. ASSESS CONTRACTORS’ PURCHASED SYSTEMS FOR DEFICIENCIES. Work directly with contractors to analyze and evaluate purchased systems and assist in switching from legacy to newer systems. REVIEW PRODUCTION AND MANUFACTURING PROCESSES TO ASSURE THEY ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH SPECIFIC CONTRACTS.UTILIZE KNOWLEDGE OF QUALITY ASSURANCE CONCEPTS, PRINCIPLES, METHODS, PRACTICES AND SKILLS to ensure meticulous compliance with applicable standards, regulations and technical orders. Perform personnel evaluations and quality verification inspections on maintenance actions and aircraft inspections to determine quality and conformity of maintenance and compliance with technical data as well as personnel qualifications. Apply knowledge to quality testing, using test equipment and measuring devices. PERFORM RISK PLANNING TO ADDRESS SPECIFIC CONTRACT AND CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS.
