Currently I am working on improving the cohesion of our network of farmers in the EAC. Understanding and learning about farmers in a qualitative and quantitative manner.In the past I worked on the commercialisation of BIOFIX. This project was a collaboration between Mea, the University of Nairobi and the British Council. The objective was to introduce alternative fertilisers. A local inoculant for fixing atmospheric nitrogen was developed and successfully diffused in East Africa.Sales. Reporting to my supervisor, my key role here was developing market share in East Africa and improving brand reputation.

Kumea is a platform entity, with farmers representing its focal point. The critical objective of Kumea is to tackle the double challenge (a) Climate Change and (b) Inequality. The goal is to do this by growing human capital and creating bridges (links) and filling structural holes (knowledge gaps) between different social actors that can be difficult to identify at the individual level.
