Reporting to the Head of Commercial who in turn reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The position supports the strategic leadership and management of the commercial development function of SEA Gas’ business. This includes contributing to the delivery of optimal outcomes from negotiations to acquire new customers and contracting additional services to drive revenue growth. This position is accountable for providing support to the Head of Commercial in managing and overseeing the end-to-end business development function.

Ensure market and contractual compliance and plant optimisation through effective communication with the operations team and our customers. Manage commercial interfaces with Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), underground gas storage customers, toll processing customers and gas suppliers. Negotiate excellent outcomes for Gas Storage contracts and commercial agreements Develop commercial business plans and monitor commercial performance against plan. Manage Iona production plan to meet contractual obligations and optimise plant and storage reservoir availability.

Management of the day-to-day responsibilities and obligations of Gas Transportation Agreements and associated Facility Agreements in operation throughout APA by developing and maintaining my close working relationships with Shippers. Act as the “escalation point” with the Field Services and Shippers for all asset contractual matters, ensuring that we support customer management objectives and that asset operation is optimized to maximize revenue opportunities. Provide senior management with recommendations and aid the assessment of potential targeted acquisitions. Provide systems and process enhancements to facilitate the effective execution of contracts.

Identification of opportunities for growth with negotiation and management of Santos exploration areas, producing fields, onshore processing facilities and downstream gas supply and transportation in the NT and Victoria. Strategic planning and market intelligence, providing recommendations to senior management and the asset leads, to optimise production. Negotiation, drafting and management of acreage agreements in Moomba and NT. Stakeholder management including Joint Venture and contractor relations including analytical input on budget, forecasting and portfolio for company CFO.Provide an innovative approach to process improvement with management of change assessment and implementation.

Lead daily gas scheduling, production supply and gas allocation/apportionment process across Eastern Australia gas portfolio. Meet contractual gas supply, transportation, retail agreements and apportionment deed obligations. Collaborate with Commercial Advisory on strategies, market intelligence and operational knowledge to maximise Santos portfolio. Formulate and report daily, preliminary and final month end gas allocations for distribution to internal and external customers. Engage with external parties and Commercial Advisory to resolve disputes. The continuous interface between Commercial and Operation Planning, contracted customers, pipeline operators, and production sites. Key decision maker to utilise short term forward planning based upon gas contracts, field and plant performance, pipeline capacities, storage facilities, spot sales and optimisation of production throughput. DOA as authorised trader in STTM and Victorian wholesale gas networks. Provide cover for Production Scheduler Moomba

Monthly billings and settlements cycle in conformance with gas and liquids sales and transportation agreements and maintain ongoing obligations associated with the agreements. Primary contact for the customer, pipeline operators and joint venture on contractual compliance issues. Conduct analysis including periodic forecasting, reporting & budget support, including the reconciliation of sales volumes, take or pay obligations, make up gas, gas banking and price adjustments or escalations. Identify and implement process improvement, whilst updating systems and processes for new contracts.

Finance Manager / Finance Coordinator – EMEA HQ Finance Department Responsible for the Management of the billings team and liaising with blue chip clients.
