Wastewater Treatment Plant Class Iii Superintendent
Current• State of Indiana – Class III Wastewater Operator License• Operate Wastewater Treatment Plant to meet or exceed requirements established by State of Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), United State Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or other agency having jurisdiction• Provide leadership of working utility operations, demonstrating safety, organization, industrial relations, and compliance to rules and community needs, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work of assigned employees, serving as outside supervisor of work activities, and ensuring work assignments are completed and safety procedure are followed to prevent injury to self or others• Maintain department records , completing carious State and EPA reports, and notifying proper agencies in care of unlawful discharge or industrial discharge as required to maintain compliance with EPA permit• Maintain State of art techniques in plant operations, such as mechanical effeteness, electrical controls diagnosis ability, lab procedures, regulatory requirements and cost effectiveness control• Maintain safe handling, storage , and use of various chemical used in the department. Monitor discharge into City’s collection system and initiate actions necessary to protect plants normal operation• Serve as liaison between Mayor, Board of Works, Common Council, other departments, and recognized agencies.
