My PhD work has focused robotic mapping in GPS-denied environments with limited sensing. I'm very interested in vehicle autonomy; guidance, navigation and controls (GNC); sensor fusion, and state estimation. Specifically, I enjoy the challenge of gleaning useful information from low-cost, low-precision sensors.When I'm not working with robots, I enjoy fine woodworking, salsa dancing, and piloting small airplanes around the Bay Area.
