• Completed 1-year rotational clinical and translation research internship at Yale University School of Medicine, conducting research within various departments such as Yale Child Study Center, Equity Research and Innovation Center (ERIC), Stress Center, School of Nursing and Yale Early Social Cognition Laboratory (YESCOG).• Led a study that evaluated self-compassion in children between ages 12-17 by utilizing an EEG/ECG to measure heart rate and brain electrical impulses while eliciting emotions through a series of computer games.• Examined multimodal neuroimaging of stress and reward cues to assess alcholism risk and relapse in clients by conducting MRI and blood testing to monitor brain responses and stress hormone activity. • Partnered with the former Dean of Nursing (Dr. Margaret Grey, DrPH) on a research initiative to improve the self-management of Type II diabetes in teens (12-17) by educating parents and teens on the importance of monitoring glucose levels and implementing an electronic mobile glucose tracking device. • Conducted Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Mullen Scale diagnostic assessments to identify the social behaviors associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children. • Assisted with the development of a mobile tablet version of the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (MCHAT) including audio/video demonstrations to enhance the parents' indentification of ASD associated behaviors, which was eventually piloted in several pediatric offices in New Haven, CT. • Managed research logistics for various studies by recruiting, educating and obtaining verbal/written consent from eligible participants.
