  I have always been drawn to the helping professions. My academic, professional and personal experiences have enriched and enabled me to integrate and explore even further all that I've learned with what I do, as well as with who I am. It's essential that what I pursue, vocationally or otherwise, is congruent with my passions, interests, and values in order for me to honor and celebrate the authenticity of self and others. I found a niche for many years working with seniors as a Therapeutic Recreational Coordinator. The creative and healing aspects of my profession made what I did especially rewarding and meaningful. I was able to apply so much of what I'd learned from my studies in Holistic Therapies at St. Kate's in such a nurturing, supportive, and practical manner, both personally, and professionally. This, in large part, ultimately informed my decision to complete my Master's degree in Human Development at Saint Mary's. My intent, as I move forward in my life and vocation, is to consciously and mindfully lead by example, actively promoting healing by being creatively engaged.
