Inspiring and creating a passion for music in today's youth. Teaching all music classes for kindergarten through 8th grade.

-Acquiring instruments for students, and re-establishing the music program at the school site. A position that had been vacant of a licensed educator for 6 years. -Building a comprehensive music program from the ground up. Program currently offers 2 levels of orchestra, percussion ensemble, piano, guitar, choir, and band of which I am the sole educator.-Writing grants and soliciting donations to obtain equipment, and provide performance opportunities for performance groups.-Constructing assessments, and evaluating student needs, program needs and formulating plans to advance the organization.

-Managed the processing of packages and loading of trucks on the shipping dock in Amazon Fulfillment center.- Trained new employees in respective jobs on the shipping floor. -Problem solved systems and labor moves. - Acquired forklift certification

-Developed educational and leadership development, assessment, performance quality, recruitment, retention, technical development and curriculum design of the entire instrumental music program, serving well over 190 participants in six different focus groups. -Organized all travel and community engagement activities for each focus group. -Established the organizational budget, and a plan for increased program access. -Used assessment data to help guide the success of the program. -Worked with key stakeholders making sure music programs were meeting the intended needs of both the participants and community. -Doubled program participation for wind and string programs through recruitment.Increased instrumental music course access for student body by developing and curriculum and establishing the school districts only 4 year university approved piano course. -Collaborated and managed the funds on the school’s only profitable musical since the re-establishment of the musical theater program. -Secured and conducted the 1st ever classical music performance by an amateur ensemble at the San Francisco Senior Center. -Recruited participants for and led the push to implement the schools 1st Advance Placement course in Music Theory.

-Crafted instruction for participants in 3 concert bands and 4 jazz ensembles encompassing involvement of 230 instrumentalists ranging in level from beginning to collegiate experienced participants. -Managed registration other information regarding music camp activities for interested participants and their families. -Organized final 3 hour concert showcasing participant progress and performance for parents and community. -Engaged in growing participation in music camp over the course of 3 years from 90 to over 250.

-Provided after school enrichment for low income and at risk youth, grades K -8. -Facilitated Think Together curriculum, and activities that focus on core subjects, physical education, and homework help at various elementary and middle school sites.

-Managed the acquisition of technical knowledge, and developing sales skills of all fine jewelry sales associates. -Crafted weekly department newsletters and provided continued sales employee training. -Managed adherence to day to day operational procedures.-Streamlined department processes for efficiency and accuracy concerning jewelry inventory procedures, and merchandise RTV’s (return to vendor).-Motivated sales associates to attain sales goals and to foster ongoing relationships with clients.- Attained sales goals and productivity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.- Increased department sales by 28% in December 2010. -Promoted from sales associate to Area Sales Manager within a period of two months after employment.

-Provided technical instruction and assessment of over 400 instrumental music program participants.-Managed grading and assessment using the online parent/student interface - Blackboard.-Designed curriculum for a music appreciation course which integrated the use of music production software, video software, and Microsoft Office which expanded music program access to more students.-Coordinated instrument repair and inventory. -Conducted various ensembles which won multiple awards across Southern California.

-Managed all aspects of on-site operations for catered corporate events ranging in size from 10 to 8,000 attendees.-Supervised staff management, trained aspiring event supervisors, and event workers.-Partnered with the catering supervisor to ensure client satisfaction.Coordinated correspondence with outside vendors, and conducted any necessary problem solving.-Successfully managed events for The Poinsettia Bowl, Qualcomm Corporation, L-3 Corporation, The University of Phoenix, and many others across San Diego County.

-Developed and conducted the educational instruction, leadership development, assessment, performance quality, recruitment, retention, technical development and curriculum design of the entire instrumental music program, serving 70 participants. -Organized all travel and community engagement activities for each focus group. -Established the organizational budget, and a plan for increased program access. -Analyzed assessment data to help guide the success of the program. -Partnered with key stakeholders in making sure music programs were meeting the intended needs of both the participants and community.-Created operating budget for each fiscal year and established a long term 5 year plan for the procurement of musical equipment.-Organized and managed the hosting of a regional music festival for Heritage Music- a division of the World Strides Corporation.-Conducted community outreach performances including performances at Barnes and Nobel Booksellers, and the City of Carlsbad Marathon, giving the students exposure while providing support and service the surrounding community.

-Developed and provided individual and group instruction on technical/musical skills, and knowledge acquisition.-Conducted, developed and implemented leadership training and collective problem solving strategies for young adult leaders, culminating in an annual, one week intensive workshop.-Developed and managed an operating budget ($100,000) for comprehensive band program, including seven different performance ensembles of varying skill level. -Organized adjudicator staffing, scheduling, and advertising for state and regional performance festivals.-Marching band performance ensemble was top band in New Mexico for five consecutive years.-Students consistently performed at high levels garnering the most students to be placed in the New Mexico Music Educator Association All State Honor Bands and Orchestras for five consecutive years.-Crafted proposal to host the first New Mexico regional competition for Winter Guard International, which was successfully organized and ran.-First marching band program in New Mexico to compete on a national level.-Marching Band was also invited and participated in the Tournament of Roses Parade, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. -Performance ensembles consistently won superior awards in competition.
