Currently working as a Drill & Blast Engineer assisting Whitehaven at their new Vickery Extension Project. Role involves starting up and running their D&B sequence from first blast as well as establishing and implementing processes for future engineers.

Working for a larger production operation to experience a more consolidated role as a short term Pit Engineer.During this time I have also joined the site's Emergency Rescue Team to continue my exposure to the practical aspects of mining.

Coal Quality and Reconciliation.To assist the company's growing assets and production I was tasked with establishing a Coal Quality and Logistics role at the newly acquired Gregory project. As this was a new and specialised area I worked closely with the Sojitz's Group Geologist to receive training.Due to staffing shortages I also heavily assisted the technical services team in mine planning and design work.

Diversified role with fulltime periods in Mine Planning, Survey and Drill & Blast.By then end of the program I was completing the site's short and medium term planning, end of month reconciliation and monthly forecast for budget. At this time I was still heavily assisting in the site's survey and drill & blast work loads.As the company was experiencing a period of large growth I was also tasked with training up multiple graduates and returning-to-industry engineers. Due to the reduced scale of the minesite, I also assisted frequently with IT support and production recording administration/quality assurance.
