My responsibilities include:Develop and implement operational strategies (crime, traffic, liquor, general duties, community engagement and intelligence) in support of organisational priorities to enhance operational performance outcomes.Provide operational and administrative support to functions associated with maintaining a regional operational capability in areas including Explosives Ordinance Response Team (EORT), Negotiators and Close Personal Protection (CPP)… Show more My responsibilities include:Develop and implement operational strategies (crime, traffic, liquor, general duties, community engagement and intelligence) in support of organisational priorities to enhance operational performance outcomes.Provide operational and administrative support to functions associated with maintaining a regional operational capability in areas including Explosives Ordinance Response Team (EORT), Negotiators and Close Personal Protection (CPP) Officers.Develop and implement operational strategies to support the Region/Districts Disaster Management operations.Develop and implement operational strategies to support the Region/Districts during major events.Liaise with media organisations regarding regional events, operations and policing strategies.Develop, coordinate, monitor, and advise on the quality and effectiveness of operational strategies, plans, policies and procedures that support operational activities to stop crime and make the community safer and to effectively meet day-to-day service delivery demands.Ensure that necessary assistance and advice is given to enable the regular review and monitoring of high risk matters and operational risk management issues. Prepare reports and present submissions on behalf of the executive officer on operational management, organisational improvement and community engagement strategies. Commenced as a Cadet trainee at the Queensland Police Academy in January 1984. In July 1985 became a sworn officer serving at various locations including Gladstone, Blackwater, Woorabinda, Rockhampton (2), Emerald, Gold Coast, Burketown, Whitsunday, Mt Isa, Brisbane Police Prosecution Corps (2) and Acacia Ridge.
