My Aerospace & Aviation career began as a materials lab technician, performing research, development and production sample processing as well as writing new lab procedures and training new hires. During my time with Aerofab I was promoted several times because of my innovative approach to problem solving, my attention to detail, adherence to and surpassing of industry quality standards and governing regulations.As the Robotic Coatings Engineer, I developed automated and integrated robotic manipulation programs to process entire parts from beginning to end without mid-process operator assistance. This enabled high volume processing while reducing process errors requiring rework from nearly 100% to less than 5%. Then as the Thermal Spray Coatings Department Manager and Chemical Processing Department Manager (concurrent positions), I designed and oversaw the installation of a multi-million dollar, multi-phase department expansion increasing the number of spray booths by 80% while only increasing our departmental footprint by 19%. I also presented plans to corporate management for a 41% reduction in production cycle times for half of the work cells which would enable the department to increase overall production capacity by more than 18%. All of these process improvement projects where a part of our Lean and Six Sigma project initiatives.Furthermore, I am pursing 3 patents for my original designs: including a calcium phosphate thermal sprayed artificial bone for use in skeletal grafts.Early in 2017 I was recruited by Praxair Surface Technologies for my experience in robotics, automation, thermal spray coatings and management.I enjoy creating innovative, cross-disciplinary solutions focused on the application of concept, industrial utility and employee success. I am a visionary and an inventor who, through maturity and discipline, has found professional success in the aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing work environment.
