Responsible for updating and creating Labview testing software to meet customer needs with focus on the improvement of efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience. Also, involved with the upgrade to an existing test dynamometer to utilize National Instruments Hardware, specifically cRIO, Ethernet, and Veristand. • Hands on Engineer while working to upgrade an existing test dynomaometer, assisted with wiring, establishing best practices for elimination of electrical noise, while holding to test cells aesthetics. This is in order to create a customer display test stand, for tours of new and existing customers.• Implemented successful labview software to shutdown a test safely in the case of exceeding established limits for specific signals. A buffer was used to capture a dynamic view of all collected data at an accelerated acquisition rate to help in diagnosing shutdowns. • Successfully implemented accurate feedback and data acquisition of accelerometers measuring vibration orders out to the 27th order for inhanced gear load testing. • Created an engine simulator with ability to switch to different CAM and Crank profiles also outputting, EGT’s, EOP, EBT, IAT, Engine RPM, and ignition signals. • Attending cross functional team meetings to align tasks with the overall success of the differenct programs. • Hold bi-weekly meetings to go over progress for Labview development projects.

Responsible for the scheduling of dynamometers for testing of prototype controls and PMSM motor/generators for HEV and BEV vehicles electrified chassis. Define and conduct testing in accordance with requirements set forth by the calibration, controls, and motor teams. • Approve new test requests and coordinate with the Requesting Engineer to ensure testing team is properly prepared once the unit goes on test.• Schedule tests in accordance with priority from supervisor and balanced with the most efficient use of the resources. • Conduct testing as stated by the Requesting Engineer and in line with dynamometer capabilities.• Create test procedure documents outlining step-by-step setup and testing flow. • Utilize ATI, IMC, AVL, and Visual Studio 2015 software during testing. • Troubleshoot CAN, Ethernet, ASAP, digital in/out, analog in/out, and IMC data acquisition signals and hardware. • Collaborate with other test engineers, calibration engineers, hardware and software engineers, and motor design engineers to ensure proper testing of prototype units. • Create and modify existing Matlab tools for post processing of data. • Compile reports for various investigations into testing capabilities and reliability of post processing calculations. • Responsible for conducting scheduling meeting and lessons learned meeting. • Created tools using VB.net for viewing of troubleshooting guides, cell status updates, and initial setup checklist automation. • Responsible for final commissioning of new test stands after successful pass of FAT. • Designed and build new torque ripple stand integrating stand alone battery simulator for easy mobility.

Configured hardware compensating for noise issues and used software to complete calibration routine.• Commissioned ABB drives for AC and DC dynamometer load control, created a remote monitoring program to display test status and log files for data analysis, and recommended sizing of VFDs for test setups in the lab.• Specify/maintain PC setup and imaging for 40 dynamometer locations in the design, advanced development, and R&D labs. Work closely with cross-functional departments to achieve project goals and objectives.
