As a Hearcare Assistant (HCA) I was involved in running my own day to day clinic which involved hearing assessments, fitting of hearing aids and adjustment of hearing aids to patients as well as advising and counselling patients on changes to their lifestyles.

Under guidelines and requirements for the Specsavers Hearcare department to comply with NHS contractual requirement all stores providing NHS services had to be compliant with IQIPSV2. This required the full development of an entire ISO 9001:2015 system in place as well as an exhaustive clinical extension to ensure the company remained compliant in all aspects of care for the patients.My role involved completing over 1000 documents and spreadsheets as well as an automated 40 page Excel management system to ensure all aspects of the company were being recorded, logged and updated when necessary.

As an administrator I was charged with diary management and planning for the hearcare clinics as well as stock management and local accounting and money management.Dealing with phone calls from patients as well as in person appointment booking made up most of the day howver I also had to to ensure time in my schedule for local banking and stocktake purposes.
