Marcus graduated with a Bachelor degree (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and joined ALFEM with an interest in acoustics and vibration. He has developed experience as an acoustic and vibration consultant, providing design and prediction consultancy. Marcus has developed niche skills in simulation software particularly Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with Siemen’s Simcenter (NX/Nastran), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with OpenFOAM throughout his time in ALFEM.Marcus is proficient and experience in CFD regarding thermal, natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation, as well as , Wind-Driven Rain Simulation. He has successfully delivered CFD projects in multiple Data Centers, Hospitals, Cleanrooms, and Large Childcare Centers.Marcus is proficient and experience in FEA, regarding modal analysis , stress-strain and dynamics analysis. He has also successfully delivered FEA projects in Chemical Industry, as well as Built Environment Industry.Marcus has deep knowledge in the field of acoustics, assisting Clients with Acoustic design , troubleshooting and analysis. He is proficient with building services acoustics (e.g ASHRAE/CIBSE), as well as utilising acoustic simulation software like CadNaA/R, for consultancy projects that ranges from regulatory Noise Impact Assessment (NIA) , to internal building acoustics for occupants’ acoustical comfort or to adhere to stringent acoustic criteria.Supplementing the above consultancy skills, Marcus has developed practical experience on site conducting measurement of acoustic and vibration. He is proficient in the acoustic measurements of reverb time (RT60), noise criteria (NC/NR), acoustic insulation loss (STC/Rw), impact insulation (IIC), boundary noise, floor slab vibration measurements, and vibration troubleshooting.The technical skillsets listed are only a means to an end.
