I am currently the PE Teacher at Arlington Classics Academy Primary Campus. I previously held the PE Assistant position at Timberline Elementary in GCISD and the position of Site Supervisor for the KIN program at Larkspur Elementary. I hold a Master of Science in Health and Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I worked at the UTSA Campus Recreation Center for four years and at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School where I coached girls and boys basketball for five years. My goal is to promote healthy living and to have my students understand and engage in physical activity for the rest of their lives.My teaching philosophy is that I want my classes to be engaging. An active learning environment is the best environment to learn in. Students will be engaged in peer teaching as well. This will help students understand the material better, since they have to teach it while I guide their learning.
