Senior inspection and integrity engineer

-Seconded inspection engineer to Woodside facilities providing inspection engineering support and metallurgical services.

-Australia wide power station shutdown inspection, metallurgy and NDT services-WA power station shutdown project management (metallurgy services)-Laboratory based failure investigations of mining, power generation, refining and LNG plant components. This would typically involve the following tasks:*Stereomicroscopic and SEM examinations(fractography, cracking initiation point(s), damage mode(s))*Metallographic examinations (microstructural and flaw/crack assessments)*Material identification using XRF and OES *Vickers hardness testing *Mechanical testing (impact and tensile) *Corrosion product and debris analysis (EDS and XRD) *Application of AS,BS, ASME, ASTM etc.. to verify material and mechanical properties *Comprehensive reporting of root cause(s) of failure, contributing factors and solutions to prevent similar failures from occurring) -Site based metallurgical testing (metallurgical replication, portable hardness testing, PMI and ferrite level checks)
