Marcus Manuel has worked in international development for thirty five years. He currently researches access to justice finance issues at ODI. He has held senior advisory and management roles in the UK Government , overseeing DFID strategy, policy, projects, staff and finance issues in country offices, including China, Nepal, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and South Africa. He was previously a deputy director at HM Treasury, responsible for DFID expenditure and economic adviser on macroeconomic issues. During this time he was seconded to be resident senior adviser in Uganda's Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. He has also been a resident adviser in Fiji. .
