Producer
Just doing my part to help make the world a better and brighter place by helping others to see the abundance of light and good that surrounds them. There is limitless potential in each of us and I am SO thankful that I get to work with people that help me to reach for more in the things that I do each day. I love the people I work with and do my work for...blessed to feel more light, energy, and happiness in everything in my life because of them.
Producer
This is the best company that I've ever worked for. Not only are the people some of the finest human beings walking our planet, but I know that the things that we're doing change and improve the lives of those that we work with for the better. There's literally NOTHING better than knowing that one is doing what is best for others...LOVE that I get to have the best job in the entire world!!!
Mortgage Loan Originator
I worked as an MLO for over 20 years. I loved those experiences, and am grateful for all those that I was able to help. Thankfully I've found my best self in working with clients in the financial planning aspect of their lives, so I didn't renew my mortgage licenses for 2019.
Senior Loan Officer/Owner
I couldn't be more thankful for the experiences and friendships that came through my time at Castle Rock Financial Services. There were originally five of us that first opened up the company and it was humbling and exciting to see us grow to over 70 employees at the peak. Originally I thought that doing mortgages was something I would only do until I got through college. It offered a lot of flexibility and good compensation for the time invested. However, towards the end of my studies I FINALLY found my love for what I was doing in the mortgage industry. It was at that time that one of the original owners (who will always be one of my closest and best friends) approached me about becoming an owner of the company. It was an incredible experience seeing us grow and become the top rated mortgage company in our county for several years running. I'm also so grateful that when I decided to open a branch of the company on my own, in Hawaii, that my brothers and friends at the company supported me in that decision. Although my branch over there didn't experience the success I had originally hoped it would, my time spent on the beautiful rock of Kauai was an ESSENTIAL factor in helping me to become who I'm meant to become.
Flight Attendant
I had such an incredible experience working with Delta Air Lines. During that time I was able to see more of the world than is really 'fair' for just one person to see. :) Thanks to my fluency in German, I was able to travel to Europe on a weekly basis for the better part of my time with Delta. I gained a love and appreciation of the diversity of the world, and the people in it, that would have been VERY difficult to attain any other way. Those experiences taught me how to love uniqueness...how to focus on the light in others first instead of in the differences. Most importantly, my interactions helped me to solidify the core of who I am and what really matters to me. I became more compassionate, loving, and a much better human being as I learned how to leave judgement to the person that paid the price to carry that burden, our Savior, Jesus Christ. He admonished us to love others and leave judgement with him, so I spent my time there learning how to do just that. I'm so thankful for all of the moments of that chapter of my life and couldn't be more thankful for the people and the adventures that are a part of it.
Missionary
I've heard many returned missionaries say that their missions were the "best two years of their life." I don't feel that they were the best two years "of" my life, but there's no question that they were the best two years FOR my life! :) I was forced to leave my comfort zone every single day of my mission, which was one of the most brilliant and important benefits of my service. I was always very shy by nature...still am in so many ways...but introducing myself to total strangers on a daily basis went a long way to helping me become more of the person that the Lord needs me to be. I served in Germany during a time when dramatic and historical changes were happening in the world. Although the Berlin Wall was opened several months before I began my mission, the Reunification of Germany was still half a year away. It was incredible to step off of the airplane in Dresden when I first arrived, and feel as if I had stepped back into a World War II black and white movie. I will never forget the weekend when the currency change (from East German to West German Marks) happened...and the introduction of "western" products into the grocery stores. You will never appreciate western toilet paper until you've experienced "sandpaper I and sandpaper II" (the latter was where you could literally still see wood chips in it). ;) I am so thankful that I was there when the Reunification of Germany happened. That I was also in Berlin when the vote to move the capital of Germany from Bonn back to Berlin happened. I quickly learned to LOVE the GDR and the people that called it home...a love which has always remained with me. My time there was filled with experiences that I still impact my life on a daily basis. Some of my most important friendships are from my time there and those 'family members' that have had an incalculable impact for good on my life will always be a VERY important part of my life!!! I love Germany and I love the German people!!!
